The 10 Acre Woods

The 10 Acre Woods is a farm animal rescue that opens its doors to the public on weekends from spring to fall, to provide socialization for the animals as well as animal therapy.
Narcisse Snake Dens
Look for the Narcisse Snake Dens sign on Hwy #17, 6 km north of Narcisse
Tens of thousands of red-sided garter snakes call these dens home. They're often visible from early September until the weather cools, but check the link for their activity levels.
Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary
Half-kilometre east of Rennie on Hwy 44
Visit in early June to see little goslings and their parents, or late August to Thanksgiving to see hundreds of geese getting ready to migrate. Free admission.
Delta Marsh Wildlife Management Area
MB-240, 30 km north of Portage la Prairie
In the fall, migrant birds use Delta Marsh to rest and feed before flying to the other end of the continent. See thousands of swans, geese and ducks this time of year.
Discovery Nature Sanctuary
