About

 hello!

Who are we?

the mom behind  prairie mom life

Trina Rehberg Boyko was born and raised in Winnipeg, where she and her husband, Bruce (a former Winnipeg Blue Bomber and Saskatchewan Roughrider, originally from Hamilton), are now raising their own family. When Trina isn't cheering her kids on at their various sporting events, changing diapers or building epic Lego towers, she can be found writing her latest article, testing out a new vegetarian recipe, honing her very limited crochet skills, thrift shopping (like a true Winnipegger), or curled up with a book and a glass of wine. She enjoys keeping up with her active family by walking or biking together (and she also really enjoys her hour of quiet time every week taking a yoga class without her family).

Trina studied journalism and communications, which led to working as a magazine editor, freelance writer, communications specialist, advertising co-ordinator, and now - the mom behind Prairie Mom Life (which will have to do until she comes up with a cooler job title).

Trina created this site as a way to merge her two true loves: family and writing. She's found great support in other moms and hopes Prairie Mom Life can help moms across the province and beyond learn from and lean on each other.
